Join the Museum Team and discover more of the secrets and stories behind the Museum’s collection by joining one of our FREE Curator’s tours.

Every Thursday at 2pm. No need to book – just head to the Museum’s reception.

Tours last 20-30 minutes.

COFFEE AND CRAFTING

Each month we will be exploring the story behind a beautifully crafted object in the Museum’s collection. Then we will help you start your own craft project inspired by the object and at the end of the workshop you have a goody bag of materials to take home and keep crafting!

FAMILY WORKSHOPS: MAKE DO AND MEND

Tuesday 20 to Thursday 22 August, 10am to 12noon
Make Do and Mend

Be inspired by the story of a World War Two era patchwork dress and create your own patchwork and visible mending inspired craft

Workshops are £6 per child, adults are FREE
(You can also book FREE places for children not doing the craft, like under 5s who may not be quite ready for it yet!)

Tuesday 6 to Thursday 8 August, 10am to 12noon

Be dazzled by some amazing beaded wedding shoes in the Museum’s collection, and upcycle some tote bags with recycled materials and bling!
