Easy access by car via the M3 – come off onto the A316, take the first exit at St Margaret’s roundabout onto the A3004 and follow the road until you cross Richmond Bridge. Turn left onto Hill Street and the Old Town Hall is on your left on Whittaker Avenue.
Parking available nearby at Friar’s Lane Car Park, Richmond Riverside Car Park and Paradise Road Car Park.

Look out for directional signposts from Richmond Station, the Green, and the Riverside. The museum is on the top floor of the Old Town Hall – take the lift from the lobby.
The museum is on the second floor of the Old Town Hall and is fully accessible for visitors with access requirements.
The Old Town Hall has an entrance for wheelchair users at the back of the Old Town Hall on Whittaker Avenue. Please use the phone there by the door to connect you to the Old Town Hall reference library staff who will assist you in using the lift to the ground floor. From there you can use the lift in the lobby to go to the Second Floor where you will find the museum.

The Museum does not have a cafe, but there is a multitude of places to eat and drink in Richmond.

Saturday, April to September: 11am to 5pm
Saturday, October to March: 11am to 4pm
Please note: we often have learning workshops which start before the Museum opens to the public, which means the exhibition area will not be accessible until 12noon
Closed Sunday and Monday and on public holidays, including Easter Saturday.
