Hatchment from St Anne's Church, Kew, 1851

The deaths of royal and noble parishioners were marked by hanging a hatchment bearing the coats of arms of the deceased on a diagonal board.

This hatchment, which is almost 2.5 metres high, commemorates George III's son, the King of Hanover.
