Bringing the Museum to you: Outreach

Can’t make it to the Museum?

We can come to you!

We can deliver our workshops at your school for same price per pupil as at the Museum, plus travel expenses to and from your school from the Museum.

Our Learning Officer can arrange workshop times that work for your timetable, and workshop lengths can be adapted if you wish for two or more classes in a year group to Family Workshop at the Museum - Learn about local history and spend quality time together at a family workshop at the Museum with object handling and a hands on craft activity for parents and childrenexperience the same workshop on the same day.

If you would like a morning workshop, there will be an additional charge of £50 as our Learning Officer doesn’t have access to the Museum until 9:30am. This makes it difficult to get to schools with the objects and/or materials before lunch, so they will need to bring them to your school the day before.

Available Monday to Friday during term time.

Keep up to date with what is going on at the Museum!
