Friends of the Museum Is Richmond special to you? The Friends of the Museum of Richmond are interested in Richmond's history and in the Museum's role in preserving and interpreting our local heritage. They provide volunteers to staff the Museum front desk, shop and exhibition areas, and are actively involved in fundraising. There are also opportunities to work alongside professional staff on exhibitions and a variety of other projects. Become a Friend and meet new friends! Caring for the Museum collection The Friends of the Museum of Richmond have identified conservation as a key area in their support for the Museum, and have contributed generously to the cost of recent projects, including a new shelving system for the Collection Store and a wide range of conservation materials, besides financing exhibition displays. Diary Dates, 2008 February Thursday 14th: Reading group - Valentine's Poems. Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond. 2.30-3.30pm. Admission free. Wednesday 2nd: The Curator's Choice exhibition opens. Friday 25th: Bring and Buy Coffee Morning. Petersham Hotel, Nightingale Lane, Richmond. 10.00am-12.00 noon. Admission £2.00 |
